This community isn’t just where I live - It’s my home. Raised in Trent Hills from the age of 2, I grew up with a strong sense of community where friends and neighbours were more like family and a helping hand was just a call away. Watching my parents volunteer for fundraisers, lead groups and spearhead local events, helped to shape my perspective on serving my own community and gave me a deep appreciation for the people and businesses that make a small town strong.
A strong community doesn’t happen accidentally. It happens when people are willing to get involved.
I live just outside of Warkworth with my husband and 4 of our 5 kids who haven’t flown the coop just yet. Here, my family is working to restore our family farm. This venture has taught me that you don’t just think about today—you plan for tomorrow, take care of what you’ve been entrusted with and make decisions with the next generation in mind.
I believe that everyone should feel like they are part of our community.
When I’m not at work in Campbellford, I can usually be found working in the garden, tinkering in my workshop or sitting at my piano. I’m a trivia nerd, karaoke enthusiast and a deceptively competitive corn-holer.
My name is Leslie and I’m running for Trent Hills Councilor - Ward 4. I believe our community has an exciting future ahead and I want to help build it thoughtfully and responsibly.
I grew up here. I’m raising my family here. This community has given me so much—and now I’m ready to give back.
